Scenario and AAR Crete 2 Tavaronis River Dawn 20 May 1941

The Taveronis River bed southwest of Maleme aurfield at the foot of Hill 107. This time two platoons from New Zealand  22 battalion face more gliders and parachutists from Sturmbattalion. One platoon are dug in on both sides of the bridge. Only 2 section would be dug in. The rest of the platoons counter attacking and arriving from turn 3. 
Two infantry section dug in overlooking the river bed along with a 2" mortar in a foxhole. 
Three Dornier glides lead the attack each timing for a parachute container in the valley. One container landed amongst the NZ defenders and would be captured by them. 
One gliders hits a rock killing its whole crew. A bad start for the Fallshirmjaeger
Turn 3 and the reinforcemnt arrive from further up the hill. The platoon HQ and the final rifle section 
a random and very unlikely event A lone Hurricane arrives and strafe the German paratroop. 
the second platoon arrives the Germans now between two fires are rapidly pinned down. The arrival of a Vickers MG was a blow to the German hopes as the gun under fare and after heavy casualties the jaegers surrender and withdraw West. Final BR 20 to NZ 16 (20)
